Today I thought I'd share with you a new little thing that I made last week for my current slew of in-person events. Upon suggestion from some of my super rad arty pals, I decided to have a go at making some small original art pieces. This Big Van Vader bad-boy being my favourite of the day!
The idea is making some smaller pieces that I can create more quickly, so that I can price a bit more affordably than some of my larger paintings that often take quite a bit of time.
I'm stoked to say that this was a SUPER FUN process! I think there is sometimes a liveliness that you often get from making things quickly & not over thinking that is it's own special sort of magic. Big Leon was just such an interesting cat & a Professional Wrestler that has easily become one of my very favourites to draw. I never get sick of making art of this dude! It's VADER TIME FOREVER!!
