"Demonio Guapo" - Acrylic on Canvas w/ wooden floating frame
This piece was created in early 2024 to commemorate my Lucha Fantastica travelling 'art-carny' journey & it’s a painting that’s since become quite close to my heart. Inspired by the absolutely wonderful Lucha Libre photography of Lourdes Grobet, I tried my best to capture that beautiful, nostalgic, classy aesthetic of that timeless era of Lucha Libre Mexicana. Blue Demon always looks just so wonderfully solemn in many of these amazing photographs - so that was something else that I was looking to capture as best as I could here. Also, who doesn’t love a Turtle Neck?!
